Ajith's 'Yennai Arindhaal' Gets 'U/A'; Makers to Approach Revising Committee for 'U' Certificate

Ajith's "Yennai Arindhaal" has bagged the "U/A" certificate from the Regional Censor Board, which censored the Tamil flick on Friday, 23 January. The makers have decided to approach the Revising Committee as they want a "U" certificate.

Sources say that the censor board has granted the "U/A" to "Yennai Arindhaal" without suggesting any cuts. The officials have not mentioned any objectionable scene or dialogue in the film. But, they gave the aforementioned certification without having a word with the makers of the flick.
As a result, the producer has decided to approach the Revising Committee as he wants "Yennai Arindhaal" to release with a "U" certificate. It is because only "U" certified films will get 30 per cent entertainment tax exemption from the State Government.
Meanwhile, the makers have announced that "Yennai Arindhaal" will release on 5 February. The movie, which was originally planned for a Pongal release, was supposed to release on 29 January. But, the last-minute pending post-production work pushed the release date to 5 February.
Now, the makers have released new posters of "Yennai Arindhaal", thereby announcing the new release date. They have also revealed the first set of theatres in it.

The promotional events for the movie are expected to begin soon. The "Yennai Arindhaal" unit - which includes Gautham Menon, Trisha Krishnan, Anushka Shetty and Santhanam - will be promoting the movie at all the platforms. Ajith Kumar is also part of the project but he never promotes his films.
"Yennai Arindhaal" is a romantic action thriller produced by AM Rathnam. It has Harris Jayaraj's music, Dan Macarthur's cinematography and Anthony's editing.
