The
official confirmation earlier before going to the censor board by the
makers of Vikram-Amy Jackson starrer 'I' directed by Shankar was that
the film would hit the screens on January 9th, a week ahead of Pongal.
Following which the Ajith's 'Yennai Arindhaal' directed by Gautham Menon
is expected to release on January 15th (Thursday), a week later on
Pongal.
It is believed that both 'I' as well as 'Yennai Arindhaal'
could derive maximum benefits at the box office with the 6 day gap
between their releases. However, now with 'I' getting a U/A certificate
and the makers going to the revising committee, it is unclear if
Shankar's 'I' will release on January 9th or clash with Gautham Menon's 'Yennai Arindhaal'
